Bribie Island is the smallest and most northerly of three major sand islands which shelter the northern part of Moreton Bay. Most of the island is uninhabited national park and forestry plantations.

The QMS has only forayed on Bribie Island once before and that was back in 2009. That was a successful foray, with 32 species recorded. It will be interesting to see what we can find this time.
