Due to the hot weather and subsequent lack of fungi, this foray has been cancelled.

The Citizens of the Lockyer Inc. are working to increase awareness of the rich biodiversity to be found within the Lockyer Valley, to document the flora and fauna of the area and to promote the value of the environment for residents and visitors alike. The QMS has once again been invited to investigate a number of areas within the Valley covering a broad range of habitats – including pasture, vine forest and rainforest.

Fran Guard will give a report on the Cooloola Foray.

Members are also asked to bring something of interest, for example a book, or to speak briefly about such things as an interesting web site or a favourite species, etc..

Workshops for 2015

The first workshop for 2015 will be on Spore Prints and Pics, scheduled for the 29th of August.

Members are asked to submit ideas for another workshop. Suggestions so far include “How to ID Small Brown Fungi” or a “Beginners Workshop”.
